  5. Here are some of my favorite and memorable bits (or at least how I remember them)...

1)Running with scissors - the women are behind a screen knitting in sillohette. An announcer is broadcasting disturbing news stories while the women continue to focus on their knitting. The announcer then says that knitting has been outlawed. And the needles ominously stop.

2)An anarchist comes on stage and encourages the audience to get 7 friends together. Each one takes a year to max out their credit card dept to pay for the group's food and housing. At the end of the year declare bancrupcy. At the end of 7 years, repeat the cycle.

3)Andrea (dressed as a cow) comes on stage solo. She explains how being vegetarian isn't enough because of the link between dairy and cow suffering. She totally had many smug Boulder vegetarians squirming in their seats (and hopefully motivating change) by criticizing their veggie burgers with cheese.

4)Butchback Mountain - where the cowgirls are complaining about lesbian pot lucks ("chips and hummus, chips and hummus").

  9. Reading Kim Murton's post I can see Ali Catherine, that beauty, in my mind's eye, and Trish playing cello... and Mustafa... or whatever spy... Kathleen K was/is, and Kim's FAB ANIMATED FILMS (!!) it's all like yesterday but suddenly I'm nearly 43 years old though I still feel like the same Vox squirt I was 20 years ago, smoking fags with Joy and Amy TV at Penny Lane. Later iterations included the blanket (!) at Zobeck and Aaron's up in Jamestown. I love Joy Boston! (mothership.... ah!) and Oakus and Mona.... and, and, and... I love Vox. Thank you for all the inspiration and a Boulder home that I will return to ever! Your girl in the big city, kathleen sullivan
